My Story
Every pixel has a story, and here's mine

Hi, I’m Ralph Cabrera — a UI/UX Designer based in Hong Kong with over a decade of experience shaping intuitive, high-performance digital products. I specialize in transforming complex ideas into seamless, visually compelling interfaces that elevate user journeys across web and mobile platforms.
My story didn’t begin with design software — it started with a dream of storytelling, inspired by the imaginative worlds of Disney. After earning a degree in Multimedia Arts from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde in the Philippines, I ventured into the unpredictable film industry. When the path shifted, a TED Talk by French street artist JR sparked a powerful realization: design could be more than visuals — it could challenge perceptions, inspire emotion, and even change the world.
That insight redefined my purpose. I dove headfirst into digital design, where pixels became tools for storytelling and strategy. From early work in graphics and gaming to my current focus on UI/UX, each project has been an opportunity to blend creativity with impact. Since returning to Hong Kong in 2016, I’ve dedicated my career to crafting digital experiences that are not only functional but transformative — design with purpose, empathy, and clarity.
Beyond the pixels, I draw energy and balance from boxing, gym sessions, and long hikes. Inspiration flows from unexpected places — true crime podcasts, anime, gaming, and film — all shaping how I approach design as narrative. And in conversations with friends across different circles, I find new perspectives that push me to think bigger and design smarter.
For me, design is more than a career — it’s a way of seeing the world, connecting ideas, and creating experiences that matter.
