Company Context
I began my career at OSRP, LLC, the Philippine support office supporting PCM, Inc., a U.S.-based IT solutions provider. PCM partnered with major technology brands such as Apple, HP, and Lenovo, delivering hardware, software, and IT services to businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions.
Through these partnerships, the company ran digital marketing campaigns that promoted products, services, and technology solutions across multiple online channels.
Project Overview
From 2011 to 2012, I worked on a variety of digital marketing assets that supported these campaign initiatives. My work focused on designing visual materials used across online marketing channels, including web banners, email marketing campaigns (EDMs), promotional e-cards, and marketing websites.
Each project required translating campaign goals into clear and engaging digital visuals while maintaining consistency with strict brand guidelines. The work involved balancing visual impact, message clarity, and brand consistency across different formats and platforms.
Responsibilities
My role involved designing and producing digital marketing assets used across multiple campaigns and platforms.
Key responsibilities included:
-
Designing web banners for digital marketing campaigns
-
Creating EDM layouts for promotional email campaigns
-
Developing visual assets for promotional e-cards
-
Designing marketing websites and campaign pages
-
Producing product visuals and photo manipulation for marketing materials
-
Ensuring designs aligned with brand guidelines and campaign messaging
Work Categories
The projects I worked on covered a range of digital marketing assets used across campaign touchpoints.
The following sections showcase selected work across these categories:
-
Web Banners
-
Electronic Direct Mail (EDM)
-
Promotional E-Cards
-
Websites
-
Photo Manipulation
Each category highlights different aspects of the design work and the role these assets played in supporting marketing campaigns.
Web Banners
Web banners were a key component of many digital marketing campaigns during my time at OSRP. These designs needed to communicate promotional messages quickly while maintaining strong brand recognition across different platforms and banner sizes.
Because banners appear in fast-moving digital environments, every element needed to work efficiently. Layout, typography, imagery, and color all played a role in capturing attention and guiding users toward the campaign message.
Design considerations
-
Communicating key messages within limited space
-
Maintaining brand consistency across multiple banner formats
-
Creating clear visual hierarchy for quick scanning
-
Adapting layouts for different sizes and placements
By focusing on clarity and strong visual structure, I created banners that stood out in crowded digital spaces while supporting campaign visibility and engagement.
Electronic Direct Mail (EDM)
Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) campaigns served as a direct channel for brands to communicate promotions, product updates, and campaign messages to their audiences. The goal was to design emails that stood out in crowded inboxes while clearly guiding readers toward the intended action.
Designing EDMs required balancing visual appeal with clarity. Layout, imagery, and messaging needed to work together to create a smooth reading flow while staying aligned with each brand’s visual guidelines.
Design considerations
-
Creating layouts that are easy to scan in email clients
-
Establishing clear hierarchy between headlines, visuals, and content
-
Designing strong calls-to-action that encourage engagement
-
Maintaining consistency with brand visual identity
By focusing on structured layouts and clear messaging, the EDM designs helped communicate campaign information effectively while encouraging readers to explore featured products and promotions.
Promotional E-Cards
Promotional e-cards were used to announce special offers, product updates, and seasonal campaigns. These designs needed to communicate messages quickly while capturing attention within a compact digital format.
Because e-cards are typically viewed within a single screen, the challenge was creating designs that balanced visual impact with message clarity. Each layout had to deliver the key information immediately while staying consistent with the brand’s visual identity.
Design considerations
-
Communicating campaign messages within a single screen
-
Creating visually engaging layouts that capture attention quickly
-
Maintaining consistency with brand guidelines
-
Balancing imagery, typography, and messaging for clarity
By combining clear layouts with strong visual elements, these e-cards helped deliver campaign announcements in a concise and visually engaging way.
Websites
In addition to campaign assets, I designed marketing websites and landing pages that supported PCM-related platforms and digital initiatives. These sites served as central destinations where users could explore products, services, and campaign information.
The challenge was organizing large amounts of content in a way that remained visually engaging while still being easy for users to navigate. Each page needed to communicate key information clearly while maintaining consistency with the brand’s visual identity.
Design considerations
-
Creating clear information hierarchy for complex content
-
Designing layouts that guide users through key sections
-
Maintaining consistent branding across pages
-
Balancing visual presentation with usability
By structuring content into clear sections and designing intuitive layouts, the websites helped present product information and marketing content in a way that was both engaging and easy to explore.
Photo Manipulation
Photo manipulation played an important role in creating compelling visuals for digital marketing campaigns. I worked with product imagery and marketing assets to produce polished visuals that highlighted key features while maintaining a cohesive brand aesthetic.
This process involved carefully combining images, adjusting lighting and color, and refining compositions to create visually engaging results. Each piece required attention to detail to ensure the final image felt both realistic and aligned with the overall campaign style.
Design considerations
-
Enhancing product imagery while maintaining realism
-
Creating strong visual composition and lighting balance
-
Maintaining consistency with brand visuals and campaign themes
-
Using color and perspective to highlight product features
Through thoughtful editing and composition, these visuals transformed static product images into more engaging marketing assets that supported storytelling across digital campaigns.
Reflection & Key Learnings
As my first professional role in design, this experience became an important foundation for how I approach digital design today. Working on real campaigns for global technology brands introduced me to the practical side of design—where creativity needs to align with brand standards, campaign goals, and platform constraints.
Designing across different formats—from web banners and email campaigns to websites and promotional graphics—taught me how to adapt layouts and messaging for various digital touchpoints. I learned how visual hierarchy, typography, and composition play a key role in helping users quickly understand marketing messages.
Most importantly, this role helped me understand that effective design is not just about aesthetics, but about communicating ideas clearly and supporting business objectives. These early lessons shaped the way I think about design problems and continue to influence my approach to digital and product design today.
